At the heart of yoga is unity. When we look at the world around us, we see separation, division, and alienation. But fundamentally everything is One.
Embodyoga® unites body, mind, and spirit by awakening consciousness within the body and diving into the layers of conscious awareness within the body’s various structures and systems. Traditional yoga postures (asana) and breath practices (pranayama) form the template for our exploration. The three pillars of Embodyoga® are embodied-inquiry (includes embodied anatomy and developmental movement patterns), santosha and viveka, which are all wrapped in a weave of love.
Embodyoga®was created and continues to be developed by Patty Townsend, who teaches daily classes, workshops, and teacher trainings at Yoga Center Amherst.
